About the role

Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation solutions to improve efficiency, test coverage, and system reliability across Regulatory Payments systems.

Ensure software quality through a balanced combination of automated and manual testing, while continuously improving QA processes, standards, and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Regulatory Payment Solutions, covering end-to-end integrated workflows. 
• Perform manual testing where necessary to inform automation strategies and ensure comprehensive validation. 
• Design and implement scalable automation frameworks to improve efficiency, test coverage, and reliability. 
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to define testing requirements and ensure testability. 
• Execute automated test suites, analyse results, and validate system behaviour including UI and database verification. 
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of test frameworks and QA practices. 
• Identify automation opportunities and lead initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. 
• Log, track, and manage defects through resolution, working closely with engineers to ensure quality releases. 
• Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks and tools. 
• Communicate test progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders. 
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in QA and test automation. 

Qualifications

Academic Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 

Min years of experience: 

5+ years in Quality Assurance with strong focus on Test Automation. 

Experience in:

Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript). 

Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Karate, Selenium, or similar. 

Strong understanding of software testing concepts (SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle). 

Experience writing structured test cases and automation scripts. 

Knowledge of SQL and database validation 

Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines is an advantage. 

Experience in fintech, banking, or payment systems is a strong advantage. 

Familiarity with: 

Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices. 

Test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr). 

Functional, regression, API, and UI testing. 

Interpersonal & soft skill : 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Excellent communication and stakeholder management. 

Attention to detail and quality-driven mindset. 

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
