About the role

To design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation solutions that enhance testing efficiency, expand test coverage, and improve the reliability of key software functionalities.

The ideal candidate will help ensure software quality and product stability through robust automated testing, effective manual testing when required, and continuous improvement of QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for the company’s core solutions, such as Regulatory Payment Solutions, covering end-to-end integrated application flows.
• Perform manual testing when required to better understand system behavior and identify effective automation strategies.
• Design and implement test automation solutions to improve test coverage, testing efficiency, and reliability across multiple product modules and sub-components.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to understand new features, define testing requirements, and ensure proper testability.
• Execute automated test suites, analyse test results, and verify application behavior against expected outcomes, including screen functionality and database validations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of test frameworks, testing standards, and QA processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance automation coverage and support implementation efforts to optimize overall testing activities.
• Log, track, and manage defects through resolution while working closely with software engineers to ensure high-quality releases.
• Create and maintain reusable test automation frameworks, utilities, and tools to streamline testing efforts.
• Communicate automated testing progress, test results, and key quality metrics to relevant stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation and quality engineering.

Qualifications

Candidate should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma, Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology 

Preferably at least 1 year of related working experience. 

Strong interest in quality assurance and test automation. 

Basic knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.). 

Familiarity with software testing concepts (SDLC, STLC, test levels, defect lifecycle). 

Understanding of manual testing techniques and ability to write structured test cases. 

Exposure to or willingness to learn automation tools (Karate C Playwright). 

Knowledge of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries is a plus. 

Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. 

Strong communication and teamwork skills. 

Good communication skills in English, Malay, Chinese language for both spoken and written
